WHAT is angel city soccer?

Angel City Soccer is building the biggest soccer club in LA. We host 5v5 and 7v7 soccer games on hard-court and soft surfaces in cities around the Greater LA area, and we’re assembling a community full of players and fans. Our game format is designed to make soccer accessible to as many people as possible – providing a level playing field for players of all ages, genders and skill levels.
 

What are angel city soccer games like?

Angel City Soccer games are fast-paced soccer games played on hard or soft surfaces. Players book into 60 minute “sessions”. Each game is 10 minutes or first to two goals. 5v5 sessions have 15 players, with three teams of 5. 7v7 sessions have 21 players, with three teams of 7. We keep score, but there are no stats. Teams are constantly reshuffled to keep the play balanced. You can learn more from reading our rules.
 

Where are angel city soccer games located?

Angel City Soccer currently has two fields. One in Culver City and one in Silver Lake. Our goal is to have multiple locations all over LA. If you know of a great place to play, let us know.
 

What skill level do I have to be to play?

Angel City Soccer welcomes all skill levels, whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player. We want the environment to be fun so if games become unbalanced, please let us know.
 

How do I get into a game?

Become a member to get started. Our weekly game schedule drops on Sunday night. Games fill up fast, so make sure you sign up quickly. If you miss out, you can always join a game’s “waitlist”.
 

What should I bring to a game?

We bring all the gear (goals, balls, pinnies), so all you need to do is bring clothes to play in and the right shoes (no cleats). Bring some water and a good attitude too!

What happens if I can’t make it?

If you can’t make it, no worries. We just ask that you give our community enough time to fill your spot (our games are most fun when all 15 spots are filled!). You can read more about our cancelation policy here [insert link].

How much does Angel City Soccer cost?

When you join Angel City Soccer, your first game is free. After that, players choose to become ACS Members ($35/month) to play in unlimited games or purchase “Guest Passes” for $10/game. When you become an ACS member, you receive full access to the ACS community including our Discord chat server, merch drops, invites to events and watch parties, and other exclusive perks and discounts. Free Guest Passes are also available to players who refer their friends to join games.

How do I get a refund?

If your game is canceled because of weather or other unforeseen circumstances, you will automatically be refunded your Guest Pass. In the event you’d like a refund for other reasons, please contact us.

How old do I have to be to play?

Our games are currently meant for adults (18+) although we often make exceptions to skilled players (15 and up). You can reach out to us directly if you’re over 15yo and would like to play in a match (as we may need written consent from your parent or guardian).

How can I get involved? How can I host games?

We’re always looking for “Game Captains” to help us host more Angel City Soccer games and bring Angel City Soccer to more locations in LA. We pay our Game Captains a flat-fee for hosting games (a gig that includes greeting players, recruiting players, bringing gear to games, and set up and clean up). What does an angel city soccer court look like?

The ideal court is about the size of a basketball court (100 feet long x 50 feet wide). Hard courts that are level, not slick, have good ball retention (with a fence or wall surrounding it), and in a safe and well-lit area with good foot-traffic. Don’t worry if the space doesn’t have goals or field markings – our Game Captains take care of that.
